Drawing from the nostalgia of classic arcade games, this project reimagines retro gaming consoles by integrating a 3D physical pinball simulation within a old monitor-box. Combining traditional arcade charm with advanced digital modeling, the design aims to blend the tactile feel of classic pinball gameplay with modern 3D rendering techniques, capturing the essence of vintage arcade aesthetics.

I started by modeling the foundational structure of the retro console in Cinema 4D, focusing on clean lines and authentic retro details. Next, I simulated the movement and physics of the pinball in action, paying special attention to its fluidity and dynamic behavior.
After modelling, I textured the console and pinball with details that reflect retro materials such as plastic and metal, aiming for a balance between realism and vintage aesthetics. I opted for ambient lighting to accentuate the retro design details of the console and pinball, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of classic arcade games.
In post-production, with Adobe After Effects I made final color adjustments, added visual effects, and incorporated music to enhance the vibrancy and visual impact of the rendered images, ensuring the unique experience of retro pinball in a digital environment was highlighted.
This project provided valuable insights into blending nostalgia with modern technology in retro game design. It enhanced my skills in 3D modeling and animation, inspiring future projects that celebrate gaming history.
